Irene's Ghost

Nominated for a BIFA award 2018. An exciting project collaborating with live action Director Iain Cunningham. We worked alongside Iain, as he uncovered the mysteries surrounding his mother's death when he was a boy. We created animation that evoked Iain's existing memories, whilst crystallising new thoughts that emerged during the making of the film.
Breech

Another fantastic collaboration, this time with Dr Becky Say from Newcastle University. Bringing back together the team who worked on Centrefold, this animated film uses a pared down style to give information on Breech presentation in pregnant women. And we are super pleased that the film features on the NHS choices website and so should be helping hundreds of women make an informed choice.
Director in Residence at The Digital Studio Teesside

This project involved creating a series of films, whilst developing new talent in a studio setting at Teesside University. Bringing together research and innovative practices in making animation we created animations for Public Health England and the Cyber Crime Unit North East.
FASD

A film for teenagers about the risks associated with drinking alcohol whilst pregnant
Warchild UK

Ellie was lucky enough to travel to Uganda to make this short film. Working with a group of young people in the region of Karamoja, talented puppet maker Jez Hunt and 2D cut out animator Daniella Orsini the team together made this impactful film that talks about the problem of gender based violence.
Dole Animators

This film is born out of the frustration of witnessing the rhetoric that has demonised those that are poor in the UK. The Dole Animators are a group of out of work claimants, who wanted to speak up and tell us all what it is really like to live in Poverty in the UK. A collaboration with the Dole Animators, Dr Ruth Patrick and Leeds University.
